Ashes & Ice by Rochelle Maya Callen

Kj's Review
Jade is alone, empty, knows no one, doesn't have a memory to work with, and she feels evil calling to her. Connor's dad has died, he is bullied at school, he hides as much as possible, and he can run like the wind. The two are as about as far apart as you could imagine but some how they find each other and set out on a journey of discovery....for both Jade and Connor.
Ms Callen has written a wonderful story that just begs to be read. From the moment you start reading you want, no you need the answers to your questions. As you continue to read, you fall in love with these two characters and their improbable friendship/romance. Just as you get comfortable with the story, it twists and turns leading you to new heights. So sadly it ends, we want more please!! I would like to thank Ms Callen for my copy of this book, and cannot wait for more!!

About the Author:

Rochelle grew up dreaming up stories. When she entered high school, she tucked away her creative side and jumped head-first into academics, work, and service projects. She graduated summa cum laude with a degree in Political Science and Communication when she was twenty years old. After years away from her writing, Rochelle picked up a pen and started fleshing out a character sketch that she outlined when she was twelve. That sketch was the start of the Ashes and Ice story. Rochelle lives in the DC metro area with her husband and daughter. By day she works as a behavioral therapist. By night, she is a dreamer and is busy tapping out new stories on her keyboard.
