Kj's Review
Nova spent her life studying to do well and be able to do big things, but it seems that Andromeda has overshadowed her at every turn. Face it Andromeda is at fault for her not getting her promotion to Lieutenant and losing her chance at love with Sirius.
When she decides to try and discredit Annie she sees an alien ship hovering over their colony. Along with Sirius, and others she is sent out to see if this alien ship is a threat to their colony. As team leader this is her chance to shine, and maybe learn to trust Sirius. Aboard the alien ship she finds her inner strength and saves the entire team as well as the colony.
Again kudos To Ms. Dionne, the second book is all I could have wanted it to be. I am eager to see more of this series as it’s just so fascinating to me. Thank you for letting me read and review your books, it has been a wonderful treat!! I give this book 5 stars.

Colonization
Book One of Paradise Reclaimed Series

Blurb-
Andromeda has spent all seventeen years of her life aboard a deep space transport vessel destined for a paradise planet. Her safe cocoon is about to break open as Paradise 21 looms only one month away, and she must take the aptitude tests to determine her role on the new world and her computer assigned lifemate. As a great-granddaughter of the Commander of the ship, she wants to live up to her family name. But, her forbidden love for her childhood friend, Sirius, distracts her and she fails the tests. The results place her in a menial role in the new colony and pair her with Corvus, “the oaf”.

But when Andromeda steps foot on Paradise 21, her predestined future is the least of her worries. Alien ghosts from a failed colonization warn her of a deadly threat to her colony. And when Sirius’s ship crashes on the far ridge in an attempt to investigate, she journeys to rescue him with Corvus.

Andromeda now must convince the authorities of the imminent danger to keep her protect her new home. What she didn’t expect was a battle of her own feelings for Sirius and Corvus.

Can she save the colony and discover her true love?

Kj's Review
Andromeda is in a space ship headed for a new planet. She has to take an aptitude test which will place her in a job and will be assigned a lifemate through a computer program. Annie, as she prefers to be called, is the granddaughter of the Commander so wants to do well, but her friend Sirius who she’s in love with makes her lose her focus. She doesn’t score as well as she could have and is now paired with Corvus, whom she sees as an oaf…especially compared to Sirius.  She will try and buck the system to try and have a chance to be with Sirius, including sending him into a dangerous place in her attempt to investigate a threat to the colony. What happens is she has to start listening to her heart and find her way, with the colony, but also figure out which man she truly wants.
I loved this book, I had read something else by Aubrie Dionne and knew she was a good story teller but wow!! I dove in and immediately formed my own ideas, Annie is a bit of a selfish girl and does try to use her family name to help herself. In the end however, she truly finds her own way, and everything comes out well. I heartily recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a science fiction type novel; without a doubt this is an excellent book for younger people too. I couldn’t wait to dive into the next book as I was excited to see where everyone would go next, especially Nova. Kudos to Aubrie Dionne for a well written story, which I have been thrilled to be able to read. I give this book 5 stars!

Meet Aubrie Dionne

Aubrie grew up watching the original Star Wars movies over and over again until she could recite and reenact every single scene in her backyard. She also loved The Goonies, Star Trek the Next Generation-favorite character was Data by far-, and Indiana Jones. But, her all time favorite movie was The Last Unicorn. She still wonders why the unicorn decided to change back to a unicorn in the end.

Aubrie wrote in her junior high yearbook that she wanted to be "A concert flutist" when she grew up. When she made that happen, she decided one career was not enough and embarked as a fantasy, sci fi author. Two careers seems to keep her busy. For now.

Now for the professional bio:

Aubrie Dionne is an author and flutist in New England. Her writings have appeared in Mindflights, Niteblade, Silver Blade, Emerald Tales, Hazard Cat, Moon Drenched Fables, A Fly in Amber, and Aurora Wolf. Her books are published by Entangled Publishing, Lyrical Press, and Gypsy Shadow Publishing. She recently signed her YA sci fi novel with Inkspell Publishing titled: Colonization: Paradise Reclaimed, which will release in October 2012. When she's not writing, Aubrie teaches flute and plays in orchestras. She's a big Star Trek TNG fan, as well as Star Wars and Serenity.
