Don't Kill Dinner
The Rules Trilogy
Jennifer Martinez
Urban fantasy/New Adult Paranormal Romance
(Mature audiences only. Mild to moderate swearing and sexual situations.)

I love you Kenna and I will never lose you. I promise.”

Official Blurb:

There are three rules when it comes to being a vampire in New Orleans. 1) Don’t kill dinner. 2) Don’t feed from people you know. 3) Don’t tell anyone. Not too hard, right? Wrong. Kenna is a new vampire filled with a passion that has turned into an uncontrollable lust for blood.
Will Arthur be able to stop her feeding spree before the coven comes after her or is Kenna beyond saving?

Arthur has been watching Kenna for years, wanting her to try her own hand in life before he gave her the ultimate proposal. Now that she has accepted, will his love be enough to save her?

Sneaky Sneaky - Look at what we got-An Excerpt

Arthur traced his thumb down my neck and I saw his fangs grow. They were beautiful, perfect elongations of his canine teeth. One thing I had been too scared to ask about was if the busted vampire grills you always see on TV were true. Thankfully they were not. As his fangs pierced my neck I couldn’t help but hold on to Arthur and take in his warm scent. He smelled like cinnamon and campfires. I wrapped my arms around his smooth back and enjoyed the euphoria that came with being bitten. It felt like two little icecubes on my neck igniting my body in fire, there was no pain only a sense of release and passion. I didn’t want him to stop. He wrapped his other arm around me and lowered me into a laying position. With Arthur straddling my body draining my blood I thought that this was one good way to die. Directly underneath one of the most beautiful people ever created. Then all my thoughts faded to black. I woke up very groggy. I tried to sit up and the second I did the memories hit.

Author Bio:
One day while slaving away at her monotonous day job, Jennifer Martinez found her true calling. Like a firefly in the night, the pages called to her. Once she caught the bug there was no stopping it. Her fingers flew furiously across the keyboard winding tales of love, mystery and anger. She snapped out of her reverie to find herself still behind the desk but at least she knew who she was… Author Jennifer Martinez.
I like to think of myself as a beautiful conundrum. When I am not writing, I can be found surrounded by my amazing family and 4 dogs or volunteering at a local animal rescue. I love who I am and don’t mind at all when I get strange looks from people. I am a tattoo covered, child and animal lover who looks forward to destroying peoples preconceived notions of what “someone like me” would be interested in. You only live life once… you may as well make it interesting.

Author Q & A: Interesting Stuff
Q: What was your inspiration for Solstice?
A: My daughter. The story started off as a screenplay but then I got writers block and could not figure out a good angle on the story. Solstice was never part of the original story. She was an after thought when my daughter was born.

Q: What or who has been the biggest influence on your writing?

A: Clive Barker, Neil Gaiman, Stephen King, Chuck Palahniuk, and William S. Buroughs. They are not afraid to go into bizarre territory and I strive to be like that to a certain degree.

Q:   Did you pattern any of your characters after yourself?
A: Gavin is more like me in his former personality, but after the tragedy that occurred in his life he lost his way. I know what losing your way is like and I think he is closest to me in that regard. On the flip side, the Allen character represents my goofier side.

Q: Do you believe there is magic in books?
A: Of course! I think that books are a way to stay away from the things that life can deal a person and if a book can make you feel better for a while, I think that is magic enough.

Q:
Do you see new possibilities for stories everywhere you go?
A: I am always observing people and situations that I happen to stumble across; people, media, government, and they facts about things that make me ask "why?"

Q: What do you consider to be your greatest achievement thus far?
A: This book out now. I have been moving this story around now for four years. It is done and I can talk about it and start on something better than the last.

Elfin by Quinn Loftis

Elfin by Quinn Loftis

Elfin Description=
Before tonight Cassie Tate’s biggest concerns were whether she could pass Algebra and how she was going to keep Elora, her best friend, from dressing her in a skimpy fairy costume for Halloween. Her feet were firmly planted in suburban reality and she had no reason to believe her life would be anything but that of a typical teenager. That is until tonight, when Cassie saw something that no human was ever supposed to see; in the blink of an eye she was thrown into the world of the Light and Dark Elves.
He comes from a realm where light and dark have fought for millennia. He is of a race known to humans only in myths and legends. The darkness that lives inside him is a part of both who and what he is and it makes him the most gifted spy and assassin in the history of his time. His life is not his own; he lives in the service of the Dark Elf King. He slays who he must, has mercy on no one, is relentless in his hunt, and never tires of seeing his prey fall. He is Triktapic, assassin, spy, most feared of the Dark Elves.

Now, in the midst of his King’s complicated plans to expand the Dark Elves’ holdings into the mortal realm, for the first time, Trik finds his loyalties divided. For no Elf, Dark or Light, can turn away from their Chosen.

Unbeknownst to the mortal realm, the battle between Light and Dark is being brought to their doorstep. The only one who can keep it at bay holds darkness in his heart like a lover, and the one who can sway that heart must decide if she can look beyond his black past, beyond his evil nature and see the man he is destined to be.

The questions must be asked, does love really cover a multitude of sins? Can true love actually conquer all or will his darkness consume those around him until all that stands is an assassin with the blood of the mortal realm on his hands?

Opposites - Cover Reveal - By T M Smith

Opposites

Opposites
Author TM Smith
Tentative release date; March of 2013
Genre: Adult Dystopian

Calendar year 2081. Our planet has finally succumbed to Global Warming.

Dr. Anthony Smith, one of only a few thousand people to survive Global Warming Ignition, has come to the conclusion that the destruction of our planet and society had been due to Injudicious Breeding which lead (in his opinion) to over population, WAR, unnatural climate changes, lower intelligence, poor physical health, poverty, lust and greed. Having isolated the Dionysus gene, he decided to start society anew by manipulating Human DNA to ensure all their offspring would be born Gay/Lesbian. Thus creating a society where Gay/Lesbian is the norm... to be straight labels you an Opposite and makes you an Outkast.

~ Nature Versus Nurture ~

Some 200 years later Dr. Smith’s descendants have maintained control of the Government that rules society. House Gaeland rules their lands, as well as the other 6 countries that survived GWI. Twins, Aiya and Aiyan, are next in line to rule alongside their soon to be wife and husband. There is, however, a growing anomaly; one that threatens to unravel over 200 years of progress. This anomaly is known as Opposites.

About the Author

A military brat born and raised at Ft. Benning Georgia; Smith is an avid reader, reviewer and writer. She now calls Texas home from her small town on the outskirts of the DFW Metroplex. Most days you can find her curled up with her kindle and a good book alongside a glass of something aged and red or a steaming cup of coffee!

At 42 years young, she’s decided to enter the next phase of her life by adding the title of “author” to her list of accomplishments that includes single mom of three disturbingly outspoken and decidedly different kids, one of which is Autistic. Her two eldest kids and gay best friend were the inspiration for her upcoming new release, Opposites.

A personal note from author TM Smith

I can’t thank all my sister bloggers enough for supporting me by hosting this cover reveal event! I’ve made some wonderful and fascinating friends this past year while working on Opposites; bloggers, reviewers and authors that have made a huge impact on me. I wish I could list you all by name. I hope you all know how very much I appreciate the support.

I will say the three most important things in life are Faith, Family and Friends. I have the best of all three! I thank god everyday for my wonderfully dysfunctional family and close knit group of friends. To have family and friends that support you when you are right, wrong or indifferent is a gift!
